  • Is the center or home licensed or currently registered?
  • Do the number of children comply with the licensed capacity?

  • Is documentation on fees, parent responsibilities and hours of operation available?
  • Are there specific and appropriate goals for service?
  • Does the program's disciplinary methods and philosophy coincide with your own?
  • NOTE: Corporal punishment in Family Day Care Homes and Child Care Centers is illegal.
  • What are the fees and when must they be paid?
Staff / Caregivers
  • How much experience and education do the caregivers have?
  • Are the caregivers kind and responsive toward children?
  • Do the caregivers help the children express emotions, solve problems, and develop self-help skills?

  • Health, Nutrition, and Safety:
