The Board of Supervisors has established the Orange County Disaster Relief Fund and allocated $100,000 to the fund to provide disaster relief for County residents.
WIC is a supplemental
food, nutrition education and breastfeeding
support program. It serves low to moderate-income
pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum
women, and infants/children up to age
5 who are at nutritional risk.
In 1990, TUPP
was established to reduce tobacco use
and exposure to environmental tobacco
smoke in Orange County. It is funded
by monies generated by Proposition 99,
a state tax on tobacco products.
