What to do if you are instructed to evacuate
Listen to the radio or television to hear instructions from local emergency officials and find out the location of emergency shelters.
Wear protective clothing and sturdy shoes.
Use travel routes specified by local authorities and don't use shortcuts because certain areas may be impassable or dangerous.
Take important supplies to make your stay more comfortable.
Special needs items such as prescription medications, eye glasses, contact lens solution, and hearing aid batteries or any items to meet your unique family needs
Bottled water and any snacks or candy you would like to have with you
Portable, battery-powered radio with extra batteries
Flashlight with extra batteries
Sanitation and hygiene items (hand sanitizer, moist towelettes)
Extra clothing, perhaps clean clothes for several days
Photocopies of identification and credit cards
Cash and coins
Items for infants, such as formula, diapers, bottles, and pacifiers
Bedding needs such as pillows, blankets and sleeping bags
Make arrangements for your pets
WOMEN, INFANTS
& CHILDREN (WIC)
WIC is a supplemental
food, nutrition education and breastfeeding
support program. It serves low to moderate-income
pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum
women, and infants/children up to age
5 who are at nutritional risk.
In 1990, TUPP
was established to reduce tobacco use
and exposure to environmental tobacco
smoke in Orange County. It is funded
by monies generated by Proposition 99,
a state tax on tobacco products.
