California State Plan on Aging – 2017-2021


The California Department of Aging (CDA), in partnership with the California Commission on Aging, will hold three public hearings to accept comments on the draft California State Plan on Aging – 2017-2021. The federal Administration on Aging requires that states submit a Plan that addresses how federal Older Americans Act funding will be used to meet federal requirements and the changing needs within their State. CDA and the Commission on Aging are interested in receiving input from older adults, persons with disabilities, family caregivers, agencies and advocacy groups serving these individuals, and other interested parties on this draft plan.

A copy of the draft State Plan is available on the Department’s web site ( under Highlights, “draft California State Plan on Aging – 2017-2021” or can be requested by calling (916) 419-7540.
