"Live"
Board of Supervisors Meetings and "Opinion Online"
Now on the Internet
(SANTA ANA) Beginning tomorrow
the public can use the internet to listen to live audio
broadcasts of the Orange County Board of Supervisors meetings.
The meetings can be accessed by visiting the County of
Orange website at http://www.ocgov.com/
and clicking "Supervisors Online." Previously
recorded Board meetings are also available on the site.
"Were pleased to be able to offer easy access
to both live and previously recorded Board meetings through
the internet," said Leo Crawford, Assistant CEO/Information
and Technology. "It is also a very convenient way
to listen to the meeting since it is available any time,
day or night." Crawford added that visitors to the
site can easily access the meetings by following instructions
posted on the page.
Also new to the Countys website is "Opinion
Online" -- an email forum by which the public can
express support, opposition or comment regarding upcoming
agenda items directly to the Board. All comments need
to be submitted by noon on the Friday preceding the Board
meeting. Opinion Online is located at http://www.ocgov.com/opinion/.
The Board meets each Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. except for the
last meeting of the month when meetings are scheduled
at 6 p.m.
