National Library
Week 2000
National Library Week is April 9-15,
a time to celebrate what libraries offer to the community.
This year's theme is "Read! Learn! Connect! @ the
Library."
Did you know that there's more to a library than books?
In addition to books, magazines, and audiovisual materials
like books on cassette, videos and CD's, the San Clemente
Library also offers weekly programs for children of all
ages as well as special programs for adults. Six Internet
terminals are available. Books, which are not in the collection
of the Orange County Public Library (of which the San
Clemente Library is a branch), can be requested from libraries
across the United States. Sheet music is available upon
request from a special music collection in Cypress. Library
services are provided to individuals who cannot get out
through the Library's Home Confined program.
If you haven't checked lately on what your library offers,
call the San Clemente Library at 492-3493.
