Andrea Dietze named
OCPL Acquisitions Librarian
The Orange County Public Library (OCPL)
has announced the appointment of Andrea Dietze to the
position of Acquisitions Librarian effective Friday, May
5, 2000.
County Librarian John Adams noted, "Andrea is an
outstanding professional librarian and a valuable member
of OCPL. We are very excited for her with this opportunity
for challenge and growth as our new Acquisitions Librarian."
Dietze received a B.A. in Comparative Cultures from UCI,
a Master of Public Administration from CSU, Long Beach,
and a Master of Library Science from UCLA.
Dietze started working at OCPL in 1987 as a Library Specialist
at the El Toro Branch Library, later promoting to Senior
Library Specialist at the Heritage Park Regional Library.
She currently works as an Evaluator in Collection Management
for the OCPL system.
"I'm looking forward to the challenges of library
acquisitions during this new and exciting time of technological
development," Dietze said.
Dietze enjoys genealogy and gardening, and makes her home
in Silverado with her husband James, and daughters Jamie,
Allison, and Anna.
