Who: The Nurse Recognition Committee,
Orange County Health Care Agency
What: "Journey to the New Millennium," a sold-out
luncheon recognizing nurses in Orange County and the Los
Angeles area, will feature an array of uniforms and nursing
equipment from this past century. Historical memorabilia
from the Greater Los Angeles nursing schools, including
UCLA, USC, Santa Ana College and Loma Linda University
as well as the American Red Cross, Army and Navy Nurses
Corps, and the American Journal of Nursing will be displayed.
Landau Uniforms will present a walking exhibit depicting
nursing uniforms from the previous 100 years into the
next century. Julie Poulson, RN, Assistant Director of
the Orange County Health Care Agency, will give the opening
welcome.
When: Wednesday, May 3, 2000, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30
p.m.
Where: Hyatt Alicante Hotel Ballroom, 100 Plaza Alicante,
Garden Grove
Why: To honor nurses throughout the county and greater
Los Angeles area.
