Third Annual El
Modena Clean-Up Day
(Santa Ana, CA) - A
third year of spring cleaning with refreshments, food
and games will come to the unincorporated county area
of El Modena from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., April 21 at the El
Modena Community Center, 18672 East Center Street in Orange.
Large trash bins provided by Ware Disposal will be placed
strategically throughout the community.
"The goal is to increase community pride by making
the neighborhood more attractive and involving the residents
in the upkeep," said Board Chair Cynthia P. Coad.
"This takes County services to the children and families
of El Modena."
Another feature of the day will be information booths
with County representatives from the Health Care Agency,
Housing and Community Development Department, Planning
and Development Services Department, Probation Department,
Sheriff's Department, and Social Services Agency.
The departments will share information about services
available to help immigrant families acclimate to this
environment. Booths will be at the Family Resource Center.
