Re-elected Supervisors
Take Oath of Office
(SANTA ANA) Re-elected
Orange County Supervisors Charles V. Smith and Todd Spitzer
will each take an oath of office at 9:30 a.m. on January
9. The ceremony will precede a regular meeting of the
Board of Supervisors in the Hall of Administration, 10
Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana.
Incumbent Smith was re-elected for a second term representing
the First District. He is currently Chairman of the Board.
He will receive the oath of office from U.S. District
Judge David O. Carter.
Spitzer continues as Third District Supervisor after being
re-elected for a second four-year term. Sheriff Michael
S. Carona will administer Spitzers oath of office.
Mayor Mark Murphy of Orange will lead the pledge of allegiance,
followed by an invocation offered by Pastor Chuck Smith
(no relation to the Supervisor) of Calvary Chapel of Costa
Mesa.
A reception in honor of Supervisors Smith and Spitzer
will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the first floor lobby of the
Hall of Administration area.
