License Plate Purchases
Benefit Veterans
(SANTA ANA) -- Sales
proceeds from California license plates honoring the armed
forces or veterans service organizations flow directly
to veterans' services statewide, said Ron Melendez, the
County?s Veterans Service Officer.
"These special license plates may be ordered with
the armed force or veterans service organization logo/emblem
of your choice," said Melendez. "More than 100
insignias are available, and your logo will be prominently
displayed to the left of a six-number/letter combination."
Standard plates are $30 per year; personalized ("vanity")
plates cost an addition, one-time fee of $10.
The entire selection of available logos and emblems is
available online at the web site of the California Association
of Veterans Service Officers, Inc. Information may also
be found at the web sit of the Orange County Veterans

Special license plates are also available that honor the
following veterans: service-connected disabled veterans;
Medal of Honor and Purple Heart recipients; recipients
of other significant decorations; former Prisoners of
War; and Pearl Harbor survivors.
