Public Workshop Features
County Budget for FY 2003-04
(Santa Ana) - Esmael
Adibi, director of the A. Gary Anderson Center for Economic
Research at Chapman University, will present an economic
forecast for the coming year at this year’s budget
workshop, “Doing Business in Difficult Times.”
The free workshop will be held from 2:30-4:30 p.m., May
29 in the Board hearing room on the first floor of the
Hall of Administration, 10 Civic Center Plaza in Santa
Ana.
The workshop is a public presentation held annually to
introduce the upcoming fiscal year budget and addresses
some of the County’s major issues. Topics this year
will include the current State budget and its effects
on County services, the County’s budget overview
for 2003-04, health services preview and highlights about
Child Support Services and new libraries.
Other speakers will include Interim County Executive Officer
Jim Ruth, CEO budget staff, and Scott Baugh, Sacramento
legislative advocate.
