Workshop To Feature Proposed Budget
(Santa Ana, CA) –
The County of Orange will sponsor a budget
workshop next week to inform the community
about its budget process and anticipated
issues for the upcoming fiscal year. It
will be held at 9 a.m., May 27 in the
Hall of Administration Board hearing room
on the first floor, 10 Civic Center Plaza
in Santa Ana.
Scott Baugh, the County’s Sacramento
legislative advocate will provide an "insider's"
perspective about the latest news on the
State budget and legislation. County staff
will introduce the proposed 2005-06 budget
and address some of the County’s
major issues. The workshop will begin
with a summary of the current State budget
and its effects on County services and
also include an overview of the budget
for 2005-06, Proposition 69 (DNA sample
collection), the Probation Department’s
Youth Leadership Academy, and watershed
water quality.
Other speakers will include County Executive
Officer Thomas G. Mauk and CEO budget
staff.
