Jean O. Pasco, Director, Orange County Archives
Jean was hired in July 2006 to oversee the expansion of the Orange County Archives.
She has a vast knowledge of Orange County government and history from her 25 years as a political reporter for the Orange County Register and the Los Angeles Times.
Her goal is to acquire more physical space for the Archives, obtain additional collections, expand the Archives’ multimedia presence, encourage academic research and
create public-private partnerships for the greater preservation and display of Orange County history.
Phil Brigandi, Archivist
A native of Orange County, Phil Brigandi has been researching and writing local history since 1975.
He is the author of more than a dozen books, hundreds of articles, and is a popular speaker. He
has served on the Board of Directors of the Orange Community Historical Society and the Orange County Historical Commission.
Over the years, he has been a museum curator, archivist, newspaper columnist, teacher and tour guide.
In March of 2003, he became Orange County's Archivist.
Chris Jepsen, Assistant Archivist
A resident of Huntington Beach since 1973, Chris Jepsen first became interested in local history during high school, as a photographer for the City Historian. While completing his BA at CSUF, Chris was a docent at the Centennial Heritage Museum. Later, he created the first website on Googie architecture, organized historical driving tours, published articles, and helped the City of Anaheim document its endangered Mid-Century buildings. Chris has been with the Archives since 2003.
